This one is located in Entebbe 5 minutes drive from the Airport and 30 minutes from the Kampala the capital city.

The Haven River lodge

The Haven is a peaceful and relaxed River Lodge, a perfect hideaway, located at a big rapid on the River Nile, spending time in the evening gazing at the gently flowing water of the longest river in the world, the restaurant and bar sit in the middle of the compound overlooking the mighty river Nile and the waterfall. It lies just between the Camping/midrange area and the luxury area.

There are different kinds of accommodation, that were built with natural materials, earth colours and the influences of local worker/artists all were combine to create an undeniably African style. Everything was designed with the environment in mind. The use of solar power, solar heating, septic tanks and rainwater catchments all create an eco-friendly atmosphere. There is 24 hours electricity available without any annoying generator noise.

The lodge has 4 Luxury bungalows all spacious en suite Twin/Double Bungalows, with a cosy reading area. There is a 3 ft and 5 ft bed inside the rooms. The showers have hot running water and offers stunning views of the rapid. It has own private shaded terrace with a swinging couch and great view overlooking the river and rapid. Build in safe, Mosquito nets, linen and towels are provided.

Family bungalow is similar to the luxury bungalow. The lodge also caters for Honeymooner which is built to guaranties privacy. It contains a king size bed, swinging couch, a big terrace and bath in the living room, which allows good view of rapids while enjoying a unusual bath experience.  The Mid Range bandas are 2 traditional thatched huts with a small shaded terrace and a view of the calm River Nile. Mosquito nets, linen and towels are provided. It doesn’t contain any bathroom, but the sanitary block is very near by.

The Camping place has a level area with a nice and soft lawn overlooking the calm River Nile. It is complete with BBQ facilities and a shower /toilet block with hot water. It has barbecue facilities and an exclusive sanitary block with 24/h electricity and hot water. Probably the best camping place in East Africa.

The restaurant has fantastic views and comfortable seating in which to unwind, offering European cuisine with a touch of Africa. Meat, pasta, fish… along with fresh fruit and vegetables cool drinks are fully stocked in the bar which keeps on playing selected music.

Jinja Nile Resort

Jinja Nile Resort Hotel is under the many chains of Mada Group of hotels and this is located 80km away from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. The resort has 110 guest rooms (all with a double & single bed). The rooms are in colonial-type cottages, and allow for plenty of privacy. The resort is a mid range, offers luxurious and pleasant stay for a reasonable price is located 82 km from Kampala and 9 km from Jinja.
