15 DAYS WILDLIFE TOUR
Day 1:
Arrival in Uganda
You will meet our company representative to be transferred to your hotel in Kampala. If you arrive in working hours its advisable to change the money in order to simplify your activities of the day. Go for a city drive through places like the Uganda museum among others, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Kasubi Tombs. Dinner and overnight at Sheraton Hotel / Hotel Africana for excellent services. .
Day 2:
Have breakfast and drive off to Murchison falls from Kampala, have a lunch stop in Masindi at any Hotel of your choice and then proceed to the top of the falls. Here you will checkout the calm Nile forcing its self through a narrow gorge to fall a distance of 150 km down with a thunderous roar. You should watch out for game and birds at the top of the falls. You then proceed to the Luxurious Paraa Lodge /Mid range Sambiya River lodge /Basic Red chillis camp for dinner and an overnight.
Day 3:
Take a cup of coffee very early to go for a game drive on the northern circuit of the park. This drive will reward you with game like Jackson Hartebeest, Elephant, Waterbucks Lions, Rothschild Giraffe, and a variety of birds. Return from the drive for lunch at the lodge and the go for a boat ride in the afternoon along the Nile. You will be rewarded with game like crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and plenty of bird species. Overnight at Luxurious Paraa Lodge /Mid range Sambiya River lodge /Basic Red chillis camp .
Day 4:
Transfer to fort portal, where Semliki and Kibale National parks are situated. This drive will take you about 8 hours and it offers excellent panoramas enroute. After this long journey relax and spend the night at Luxurious Ndali Lodge/Mid range Rwenzori View guest House/Basic Kanyankyu ecological site park headquarters.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, drive to the crown and hot springs and then proceed to the pygmy villages located near Ituri Rainforest for an interesting cultural entertainment and experience. You will have lunch while experience the true taste of Africa. Drive back to Fort portal later for dinner and a night the Luxurious Ndali Lodge/ mid range Rwenzori View guest House/Basic Kanyankyu ecological site at the park headquarters.
Day 6:
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park- commonly known and accepted for its excellent diversity of and massive primates in East Africa. You will go for guided walk to search for the wild chimpanzees, black white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, butterflies of different species and many others. In the afternoon you will go to the crater lakes region and then later in the evening be entertained by a cultural group for more cultural dances. Overnight at Luxurious Ndali Lodge/ Mid range Rwenzori View guest House/basic Kanyankyu ecological site at park headquarters.
Day 7:
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park where we take on a morning game drive in search of the wild game and a marvel view of the great lakes of Lake Edwards and lake George, then also the great Kazinga channel. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel to Lake Edward. Both the game drive and launch trip will reward you with animals like defassa water bucks, bushbucks, Buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, hippos, pythons and Kobs and birds like the rare shoebill. Overnight at Luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge OR Basic Institute of Ecology.
Day 8:
Take breakfast to go for a walk through Maramagmbo forest and the Kyambura reserve for the whole day. You will have a picnic lunch in the forest. The walk through the forest provides an opportunity to view Uganda Kobs, cobras, rock pythons, monkeys, phoetes and many more. Overnight at Luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana safari lodge/Lake Kitandara camp OR Basic Institute of Ecology.
Day 9:
Go through the Ishasha sector to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a home of the gorillas. You will reach in the evening. Overnight at Luxury Gorilla Forest camp /Mid Range Lake Kitandara luxury tents / Buhoma Homestead or basic at Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 10:
Go for gorilla tracking in the morning. You will be briefed by the guide at the headquarters about the overall activity. The activity is unpredictable, and therefore difficult to determine the time it takes however, it ranges between 2-9 hours. Depending on the movement of these giants. You will go through hardships but the experience of observing the gorillas interact and feed is awe-inspiring and erases the poor memories of trying to find the gorillas. Day 11:
Go for a guided nature walk in Bwindi on any trail of your interest- it could be a village trail or one of the other forest trails. You will have lunch to proceed to L. Buyonyi. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland camp or Arcadia cottages.
Day 12:
You will have a rest at the shores of lake Buyonyi or go for a nature walk around Lake Buyonyi to search for birds both small and large birds. You can also go for boat ride on the Lake to search for water birds and game too. Overnight at Arcadia cottages/ Bunyonyi Overland camp.
Day 13:
Take a breakfast and then drive off to Lake Mburo National Park which is a 4 hours drive. Go for a game drive to view impalas, elephants, buffaloes, elands and zebras. Rest have lunch, dinner and overnight at Mantana luxury tented camp /Agip Motel in Mbarara.
Day 14:
Leave for Jinja via Kampala to the Source of the River Nile and where the Nile starts to pour into the Mediterranean Sea. You will also visit the Bujagali falls. Overnight at the Nile Resort Jinja or Hotel Triangle all with water view.
Day 15:
You will have breakfast to go for a city tour for shopping. This is however dependant on your time of departure. You will then go back to your hotel to pack your language and then be transferred to the air port to catch your flight.
