Uganda Vacation, Amazing Tour

10 Days (9 nights) Amazing Tour  

Day 1

Drive to Murchison falls to drive through the famous Luwero Triangle and Budongo forest on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley . Look out through the window for nice sceneries while traveling. You then reach the top of the falls from which the name of the park was derived. At the top of the falls the calm Nile forces its self through the narrow gorge to transform into a white thunderous roar of white water falling about 150 km. You will have a picnic lunch at the top of the falls. Watch out game and birds at the top of the falls. Then you will be transferred to Paraa Safari Lodge at for dinner and a night. 

Day 2

Go for an early game drive after tea, on the northern part of the park to search for buffaloes, elephants, lions and plenty of bird species like the nightjars and many more. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch to embark on a boat ride in the afternoon. Go for a launch trip on the Nile , this trip will reward you with animals like the Hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles and variety of bird species. Dinner and a night at Paraa Safari Lodge.  

Day 3

Head to Kibale national park towards fort portal to pass through the green countryside with homesteads and farms. Situated amid rolling hillsides wrapped with tea plantations , Fort portal offers great sceneries across the glacial peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains .  Take photographs for memories. In the afternoon go for a walk in the communities to be entertained by the local people of the area in cultural dances. Dinner and a night at Ndali Safari lodge or the tree house at Kanyankyu ecological centre. 

Day 4

At 8:00 am after breakfast you will go into the forest to search for chimpanzees and other primates such as the colobuses, blue red-tailed, phoetus, and grey cheeked Mangabeys rolling from tree to tree in the dense forest. For birders the forest has alot to offer with over 300 species recorded and butterflies and small insects. Detailed explanation will be provided to you about both flora and fauna making the walk informative and lively. In the afternoon visit Bigodi swamp ecotourism site that is marvelous. Watch out for unique fauna and flora. Dinner and a night at Ndali lodge/ the tree house at Kanyankyu ecological centre. 

Day 5

Set off for Queen Elizabeth national park, after breakfast. Look through the windows for game like Uganda Kob, Defassa waterbucks, elephants and many more. After lunch go for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel to Lake Edward . This trip will reward you with animals like Buffaloes, hippos, and many bird species. Dinner and a night at Mweya Safari lodge.  

Day 6  

Take a cup of tea to go for an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers and predators returning to their hide outs. Look out for Elephants, buffaloes, leopards, Lions and birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast, lunch and then transfer to Maramagambo forest for a nature walk. This walk will reward you with potto, chimpanzee, red-tailed and L’Hoest monkey, duikers, giant forest hogs and giant elephant shrew. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 7

Drive off to Bwindi national park after breakfast through the Ishasha sector for game en route. Look out for game like Uganda Kobs, topi, colobus monkey and variety of birds such as black bee-eater, broad-billed roller enroute. Depending on the season you can also lookout for climbing Lions. Dinner and a night at Lake Kitandara tent/ Buhoma community bandas.

Day 8

Have breakfast to transfer to the park headquarters to be briefed by the guide about gorilla tracking. Tracking takes about 2-8 hours depending on the movement of these giants. The activity is tiring however, the experience of observing the gorillas erases hardships you have gone through to see them. Dinner and a night at Lake Kitandara tent/ Buhoma community bandas. 

Day 9

Take breakfast early in the morning to drive to Lake Mburo National park . You will watch game like impala, buffaloes, warthogs and bushbuck, and birds enroute. In the afternoon go for a boat ride where you will sight variety of birds, hippos and other game along the shore. Explore the services of Rwonyo camp for a night. 

Day 10

Go for an early morning game drive for more game viewing. After the game drive return to the lodge for late breakfast and then embark on the journey back to Kampala . Lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at Sheraton Hotel and Hotel Africana.
