Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala – Kibale National Park.
After your breakfast depart at 08:00am for Kibale National Park passing via Mityana-Mubende road. You will have a stopover in Mubende to visit the Nakayima tree, of more than 400 years in the history of Uganda, enjoy our organized fruit picnic lunch at the side of your Car while learn how to speak the indignous language with the people around. You will proceed with your guide to Kibale forest National Park arriving late in afternoon to checking into your hotel (if you are to stay in Fort portal town which is 33km away from the park) then a nature walk/drive to the Amabere site for water falls and crater lakes, return for dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon hotel in Fort portal Town or Primate lodge in Kibale Forest National park (luxury/Medium options) / Rwenzori Travelers Inn in For portal Town or Chimps Nest Lodge in kibale National park for Budget Options (FB)
Day 2: Kibale National Park
Early morning at 07:15am (if you are to stay in Fort portal town then breakfast is at 06:00am) you will have breakfast then leave to Kibale forest National Park headquarters for briefing before you enter in this beautiful forest for chimpanzee tracking including other primates like the L’hoestes, Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed monkey and grey cheeked Mangabey swinging through the dense forest and several bird species, butterflies and many small insects, can be seen before you return back for lunch. An opportunity to reach Biggodi for a swamp walk the area is run by the community as away to preserve and save animals in the Kibale forest, You shall then return for dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon hotel in Fort portal Town or Primate lodge in Kibale Forest National park (luxury/Medium options) / Rwenzori Travelers Inn in For portal Town or Chimps Nest Lodge in kibale National park for Budget Options (FB)
Day 3: Kibale National Park
After your breakfast at 08:00am, If you still have time in the day, a brief visit to the Tooro Kingdoms palace, built on top of the hill attracting views of the Rwenzori ranges and Fort portal town, proceed then to Kampala via Mubende with a lunch stop enroute before arriving to Kampala if you are staying here or transfer to catch your flight back home.
