Gorilla Holiday Uganda Bwindi, Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth

Day 1

Drive from Kampala towards the west to Lake Mburo National Park to encounter game while traveling. The park harbours several species not easily observed else where in Uganda . Have lunch at the main campsite and in the afternoon embark on a boat ride on Lake Mburo to view Hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, bush pigs at the shores of the Lake

Watch out for acacia associated birds such as black bellied bustard, mosque swallow and bare faced go-away birds. Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo Camp.

Day 2

In the morning take breakfast to go for another game drive through the park before you head off to Queen Elizabeth national park. Watch out for game enroute to reach in time for lunch have lunch at Mweya safari lodge as you prepare for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon. Go for the boat ride in the afternoon expects to see a swamp of hippopotamus, Buffaloes and variety of water birds both residents and non residents.Dinner and a night at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 3

Take a cup of tea, to go for a game drive to in the park to watch out for animals like Lions, elephants, buffaloes, topi, Uganda Kobs and defassa waterbucks. Retire from the game drive for breakfast at the Lodge. Pack lunch to drive off to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector. Watch out for game like climbing lions and many more while traveling Have lunch enroute and proceed to Bwindi. Dinner and a night at Gorilla forest resort / Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 4

Go for briefing at the park headquarters, to set off for gorilla tracking. The activity takes about 3 – 10 hours but this is dependant on the movement of the Gorilla. Gorilla tracking is can be exhausting but the experience of viewing them feed, play and interact is worth the struggle. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort camp / Buhoma community Banda.

Day 5

Take breakfast to drive off to Lake Buyonyi- “place of small birds” although even large birds are available in the area. Go for a boat ride to view game and variety of bird species. Retire from the ride to do any activity of your choice. Dinner and overnight at Habuharo Island .

Day 6

Take breakfast and then embark on the journey back to Kampala . You will have a lunch enroute to proceed to Kampala . Dinner and overnight at Sheraton Hotel / Hotel Africana.
